A Hillcrest Art Walk

October's More Super Sunday art walk is going to be the last blast of summer with all your favorite artists back on the streets and an after-party not to be missed! Stop by Hillcrest near the San Diego Sports Club, soon to be the new Ruby Room, the check out the art starting at 2:00 and the party afterwards from 6pm-midnight. Performances by Brian Bennett (acoustic), Los Hollywood (rock/latin), Adelaide of the Shimmy Sisters (bellydance), DJ Mix Architekt (techno/house). During the day don't miss Burlesque Brunch as well!

July's More Super Sunday's was Sunday, July 13th! Even more artists, performers and patrons were out on the sidewalks around Normal and Richmond streets, and the the first-monthly After Party was at Bamboo Lounge, with live art happening in the back and Hillcrest Comedy in the front. Discounted eats and drinks flowed at nearby restaurants, and the art atmosphere permeated Hillcrest for another successful More Super Sunday!

  

 Sunday, June 15th saw the first art walk in Hillcrest and was a hit among the many folks who came to see the wonderful local artists brought in by Jill Johnson of More Super Events. Many people were out for a morning stroll, leaving the Farmers Market, or gathering for Father's Day brunch as well, and all contributed to a festive, leisurely Sunday afternoon in the heart of Hillcrest.

The Hillcrest Association and Jill Johnson of More Super are excited to bring you the first monthly Art Walk in Hillcrest!

Hillcrest moRe sUper Sundays is a monthly community event that features local San Diego artists. Event-goers will walk through a four-block portion of Hillcrest (from Normal St to Richmond St) to view art, enjoy entertainment, eat at featured restaurants and take advantage of offers specific to the event. Each month, June through October, we'll feature new and repeated artists, businesses and food.

The Art Walk begins Sunday, June 15th (Father's day) and takes place from 2-8pm on the second Sunday of each month, after the Hillcrest Farmers Market. Each month, one local restaurant will host an after party in the evening as well, making Sundays THE day to spend in Hillcrest!
