Thinking of doing business in Hillcrest? |
|
The Hillcrest Business District has a lot to offer our members. Use the drop-down menu to get a feel for the neighborhood from facts and figures, and see what's available if you plan on bringing YOUR business to Hillcrest! Who Are We?The Hillcrest Business Association (HBA) was formed in 1921 as a non-profit organization whose purpose was to help promote the businesses in our neighborhood of San Diego. In 1984, a majority of the businesses voted to form a special yearly assessment (fee) that would be used to pay for promotions and improvements to the business district.
Fees are paid when you pay for the annual business certificate. These fees vary from $30 to $125 and are collected by the city Treasurer and held in trust and returned to the HBA in the form of requests for reimbursement. We have monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 5pm at the Joyce Beers Community Center located near Ralph’s and Trader Joe’s. A volunteer board of directors administers the programs and financial requirements through reports and actions taken at meetings.
The office is staffed by two employees, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Our Services
